On October 27, 2018, we sadly said goodbye to Rocket. Affectionately called ‘Rocketman’, he was one of the best broodmare and performance horse sires I’ve ever had the honor of owning. I am blessed to have several of his daughters. I said my last goodbyes to Rocket one early morning in his stall as I brushed his mane and gave him his grain. I am so very thankful for Reece Weber and Garrett Leonard in assisting the vet, when they knew I just couldn’t. He is buried in our cemetery on the hill behind the house with several other beloved animals we’ve cherished and lost over the years. We miss you Rocketman! I’ll see you again someday in greener pastures, and I’ll brush your beautiful coat and we’ll have a good visit like we did so many times.
